Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a form on this site — the optional contact form, a careers application, a Blu List membership request, or a StudioSpace inquiry — we collect the details you provide. Depending on the form, that may include your name, email address, phone number, message, role of interest, years of experience, a portfolio or Instagram link, an uploaded resume, your birth month and day, your preferred stylist, and how long you have been visiting us.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect limited technical information through analytics and advertising tools — for example, your approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site. We use Google Tag Manager to manage these tools, which at present consist of the Meta (Facebook) Pixel.

Advertising measurement. So that we can measure how our advertising performs, the Meta Pixel records the pages you view and the links you click on this site and reports them to Meta, which may match that activity to your Facebook or Instagram account using cookies, your IP address, and your browser type. This information is also sent to Meta from our own server. We do not send Meta the contact details you enter into our forms, and we do not share information about the specific treatments or services you receive from us.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies for basic site functionality, analytics, advertising measurement, and spam protection on our forms (for example, an invisible challenge). You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can limit how your information is used for advertising in your Meta account settings.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to respond to your message or review your job application; to operate, secure, and improve the website; to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site; and to protect against spam and abuse on our forms.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing email from this website — there is no newsletter signup.

Booking, the caffé, and third-party services

Booking and purchases. Appointments are booked through Phorest, our salon software — including through any embedded calendar — and any retail or gift-card purchases happen on Phorest’s hosted store. This information is handled by Phorest under its own privacy policy.

Analytics, advertising, and maps. We use Google Tag Manager to manage measurement tags on this site; at present the only such tag is the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which helps us understand how visitors reach and use the site and how our advertising performs, as described above. These are governed by Google’s and Meta’s privacy policies. We link to Google Maps for directions, and our Contact page displays an embedded Google map. That map loads with the page, so when you visit our Contact page your browser contacts Google Maps and Google may set cookies, in line with Google’s privacy policy. Form submissions are delivered by email through a form-handling service, with an anti-spam challenge as noted above. Links to third-party sites, such as Instagram, are governed by those sites’ own policies.

We share information with these service providers only as needed to run the site and respond to you.

How we store and protect your information

We use reasonable measures to protect your information. Form submissions are delivered to us by email and are not stored in a database on this website. We keep application and inquiry information only as long as needed for the purpose you provided it, or as required by law.

Your choices

You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings, and limit how your information is used for advertising in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. You can also ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop using your details for advertising measurement, by contacting us at the address below.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
